ECF-Group acquires MGG
ECF-Group (www.ecf-group.com) announced today that it has acquired all of the shares of MGG Group (www.mgg.com) from Hayes Lemmerz Inc. (www.hayes-lemmerz.com), a US based stock listed firm. MGG’s senior management will participate in this acquisition by acquiring a minority stake.
MGG is a leading player in the European aluminum foundry industry. In the three locations of the group in Tegelen and Bergen in The Netherlands and in Antwerp in Belgium MGG produces aluminum components for heavy trucks, exclusive cars, the high end heat-exchangers for gas heated condensing boilers and other industrial products.
Customers include DAF, Daimler Chrysler, Volvo Trucks, RVI, Scania, BMW, VW, Porsche, Aston Martin, Remeha, Wabco and other large industrial companies.
MGG is European market leader for aluminum sand casting for the heavy truck industry and a fast growing player in the exclusive car segment.
In 2006, MGG had annual sales of Euro 114 million and employed on average 880 employees.
After this acquisition the ECF-Group employs over 2.200 employees of which about 1.700 in The Netherlands.
